Black Knights Host Sacred Heart on Thursday

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's soccer team continues its non-league slate with a home matchup against Sacred Heart on Thursday at 7 p.m.

ARMY (1-2-1, 0-0-0 Patriot League)
• Senior co-captain Clare Shea leads the offensive effort with three points on a goal and an assist, as well as a team-high 13 shots.
• Freshman Lizzie Harper was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week after netting her first-career goal against Syracuse.
• Harper became the fifth Cadet in two weeks to earn a weekly honor from the league and second Rookie of the Week after goalkeeper Sydney Cassalia did so following the opening weekend.
• Army will be playing its fifth of eight non-league games this season before opening the Patriot League season on Sept. 16 versus Lehigh.
• Through their first four contests, the Black Knights have outshot their opponents, 58-34.
SACRED HEART (0-3-0, 0-0-0 NEC)
• Army is 2-1-1 in the all-time series with Sacred Heart since the first meeting in 2008.
• In the last meeting, the Black Knights defeated Sacred Heart in the 2015 season-opener, 4-2.
• All three of Sacred Heart's losses on the year have come by one goal.
• While the Pioneers have never led during the 2017 season, they have also never trailed by multiple goals.
• Junior Melanie DaSilva leads the team in scoring with four points on two goals.
