Black Knights Begin Patriot League Play Saturday

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's soccer team begins the Patriot League season against Lehigh on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Clinton Field.
ARMY (2-5-1, 0-0 Patriot League)
• This will be the first time since 2010 that the Black Knights open league play against Lehigh. In that game, Army captured a 1-0 overtime victory.
• Army's won its last meeting with Lehigh at home with a 2-0 decision on Oct. 3, 2015.
• The Black Knights recently snapped a three-game losing skid with a 1-0 victory over service-academy rival Air Force.
• Senior co-captain Brianna Nicholas netted the lone goal against the Falcons to give the Black Knights their first win at Air Force since 1993.
• She was named the Army West Point Athletic Association's Athlete of the Week.
• Fellow team captain Clare Shea assisted on Nicholas's goal to take the team-lead with two helpers.
• Rookie goalkeeper Sydney Cassalia owns a .706 save percentage and a 1.27 goals against average.
