Army Heads West for Weekend Tests

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's soccer team is headed out to the Centennial State for matches against service-academy rival Air Force and Colorado College this weekend.
The Black Knights return from an eight-day hiatus versus the Falcons on Friday at 6 p.m. MT (8 p.m. ET) before taking on the Tigers Sunday at 12 p.m. MT (2 p.m. ET).
ARMY (1-3-1, 0-0 Patriot League)
• The Black Knights have outshot their opponents in four of the five contests this year.
• Three Cadets have found the back of the net this season, including Lauryn Westman and Lizzie Harper who notched the first tallies of their career.
• Firstie co-captain Clare Shea converted Army's lone penalty kick of the season against Syracuse before assisting on Harper's goal.
• Cow Sydney Witham notched the team's other assist on Westman's game-winner versus Iona.
• Army is seeking its first win since the season-opener against Iona.
• Rookie goalkeeper Sydney Cassalia has played all 485 minutes between the pipes this year, earning a goals-against average of 1.11 and a .700 save percentage with 14 saves on 20 shots.
• The Black Knights have yet to score on the road in 2017, sporting a record of 0-1-1 away from the Hudson Valley.

AIR FORCE (2-3-0, 0-0-0 Mountain West)
• The Black Knights are meeting Air Force for the 15th time, holding a 7-6-1 advantage in the all-time series.
• Air Force collected a 3-1 victory over Army on Sept. 12, 2008, in the last meeting.
• The Falcons enter Friday's contest on a two-match winning streak after defeating Eastern Washington, 3-1, and McNeese State, 1-0.
• Air Force's offense has been balanced early this season as it has four different goal scorers and four different players with assists.
• Kaitlyn Cook leads the team with a goal and an assist, while Brooke Rittman, Erin Speer and Kristen Shimkus have also found the back of the net.
• Jennifer Hiddink has laced up as the starting goalkeeper in all five games, allowing six goals for a 1.19 goals-against average. She has 22 saves to her credit, good enough for a .786 save percentage.
