Coach's Quotes:Â
"This weekend we have the NCAA Qualifier, and we are hosting this against MIT," said head coach Web Wright. "Every school to be eligible for NCAA Championships, besides from the regular season, has to shoot this qualification match. It's held only this weekend at a variety of ranges across the country. This score is added to the average of your top three scores throughout the season, and then the highest eight totals will go on to the NCAA Championships. There will also be spaces available for individuals to qualify to fill out the 48 total firing spots."
Â
"We are looking to qualify the team. We are a touch behind some of the other teams, but with a really good score I think we can bump that up and end up in the top eight. I'm reasonably sure we are going to place some individuals. They just need to come through and put it all together. Another score like we shot at Navy could do it, and some of those individual performances should get recognized for invitations."
ARMY (6-8)
MIT (2-7)
UP NEXT:
Army heads to the Great America Rifle Conference Championships held in Morgantown, W.V., on Feb. 23-24.
