Army Notches Second Place Finish At Army Open
September 14, 2018 | Men's Cross Country
Wappingers Falls, N.Y. - The Army men's cross country team finished second out of six teams in this year's Army Open.
The Black Knights were led by junior Roman Ollar, who finished fourth with a time of 23:58.1 in his first race of the season.
Head Coach Mike Smith:
"We were able to get a good, hard, effort in today. Some of the younger guys were forced out of their comfort zone and did a nice job of managing the race. On the whole, we only have a few comparisons to make on this course and we ran significantly better across the board today than we did a year ago in this meet. So, we are in a good spot as we look ahead to the championship meets."
