Nunn, Solomonides Receive GARC Honors

AKRON, OHIO - Ahead of the Great America Rifle Conference Championship, Army West Point Rifle seniors Payne Nunn and Andrew Solomonides received individual honors from the conference on Thursday.
Senior co-captain Payne Nunn received second team All-GARC honors in air rifle and aggregate and All-GARC honorable mention in smallbore. Nunn set the Army West Point program record this season with a 597 score in air rifle against North Carolina State on Nov. 10. He shot his season high aggregate score of 1175 two times this season.
Senior Andrew Solomonides was also honored as Army's Scholar Athlete of the Year award recipient. This marks the third year in a row that Solomonides received the honor from the conference.
The Black Knights will compete at the GARC Championship on Feb. 22 and 23, beginning with the smallbore competition on Friday.
