HOW IT HAPPENED

- The Midshipmen did not let the Black Knights' lead last for long and went on a 6-0 run that lasted just over five minutes.

- The Midshipmen outscored the Black Knights, 4-2, in the closing 7:47 and went into the break leading 11-6.
- Navy's success on the draw carried into the second half and the Midshipmen continued to capitalize on their possessions. Despite the two sides trading a goal in the opening four minutes of the new frame, Navy grabbed an 18-8 advantage following a 7-1 run that lasted over 18 minutes.
- The Black Knights stopped the run with a pair of late scores from Cortes and Manor, but it was too late as time was not on their side and Navy secured the tournament win.
