HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Army West Point golf team finished 11th in the first tournament of the season, which was at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational at Colgate.

The Black Knights shot a team score of 302-294-303—899 (+35) during the two-day tournament. Cornell won the team title with an 880 (+16) team score. Rhode Island's Chris Francoeur was the individual champion at 7-under par for the three rounds.

The Black Knights are back in action on Sept. 17 as Army heads to Alabama for the annual Bush Cup. Army is taking on the Crimson Tide at Shoal Creek Golf Club.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
- Junior James McKee was Army top golfer and finished in a tie for 16th with a score of 71-71-79—221 (+5).
- Senior Justin Williamson moved up the leaderboard to 25th on the final day as he shot a 1-under par 71. Williamson posted four birdies in his final round and shot 3-under following a double bogey on his first hole of the day.
