Gymnastics Finishes Third in All-Academy Meet

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's gymnastics team placed third in the All-Academy meet Saturday afternoon with a score of 377.85. Navy claimed first place with a score 395.2, while Air Force came in second at 379.1

- Corban Barstow posted Army's highest score of the day with a mark of 13.35.
- Kalvin Kingshill had the next highest mark at 13.3.
POMMEL HORSE
- Matthew Martin had the team's best score in pommel horse at 12.9, which was good for sixth overall.
- The Black Knights' next highest score belonged to Mathew Davis, who posted a 12.45.
- Davis earned the event win in the still rings with a score of 13.6, which was .5 points higher than the second place finisher.
- Army's next highest score was 12.5 from Kiernan Reagan.
VAULT
- Connor Cavanagh had the team's high score with a tally of 14.150.
- Graham Shaw's 13.85 was the Cadets' second best mark.
- Davis earned his second event win of the afternoon in the parallel bars with a score of 13.55, which was .55 more than the second place finisher.
- Jackson Pophal placed third with a score of 12.95.
- Collectively, Army had a score of 63.45 in the event, which was tied with Navy for the top team score.
- Miguel Aquino had the top score of the afternoon for the Cadets at 12.8 which was tied for second place.
- Davis was the Black Knights next highest finisher at 11.9.
- Davis claimed first with an all-around score of 77.2.
