LEWISBURG, Pa. – Julia Gorajek tied a career-high in points with a game-high seven as the Black Knights lost their first league game in an 18-12 setback at Bucknell on Saturday.
GAME SUMMARY
Army entered the game sitting in first place with a 5-0 record in league play which is its best start in program history. The Black Knights also had won three straight in the series. However, Army never led in today's contest.
Trailing 2-0, Gorajek scored Army's first goal with 5:49 left in the first quarter. She added the Black Knights' second one minute later, and Carleigh Armstrong added a goal before the end of the quarter with Army trailing 4-3,.
Bucknell led 6-3 before the Black Knights reeled off three straight goals to tie the game. Armstrong scored at the 11:45 mark, then Gorajek assisted on the next two goals by Julia Franzoni and Sidney Weigand.
The Bison closed the half on a 3-0 run for a 9-6 halftime lead. After Bucknell increased its lead to 10-6, Marissa Massey and Sullivan scored 40 seconds apart to cut the lead to 10-8. However, the Bison went on an 8-1 run which stretched into the fourth quarter. Army netted the final three goals.

- Julia Gorajek scored a game-high seven points to tie a career-high in points. She scored a team-high four goals and had a game-high three assists.
- Carleigh Armstrong had her seventh three-goal game of the season.
- Kathleen Sullivan had two points to move two points away from tying teammate Caroline Raymond for most points in a singles season (67).
- Freshman Gabby Mirak added a career-best two points.
- Army returns home to host Loyola Maryland on Saturday, April 16 at 1 p.m. for senior day.
