Men's Soccer Ties Villanova, 1-1

Philadelphia, PA – The Army West Point men's soccer team ended their match with Villanova in a draw Tuesday afternoon.
How it Happened - Army came out where they left off against Colgate, pressuring offensively. The Black Knights got nine shots from six different players in the first half.
In his collegiate debut, freshman goalkeeper Aiden Rice had to be sharp to start as he made four saves through the first 16 minutes. Army sophomore forward Jacob Lee, found the back of the net in the 22nd minute with an assist from senior Drew Clement to put the Black Knights up 1-0. Army would keep the pressure on throughout the first half and go into the half leading the Wildcats by one.
The Black Knights held down the back line for most of the second half until Villanova junior forward Balthi Saunders netted the equalizer in the 84th minute off an assist from freshman Wildcat Diego Valles.
Keeper Aiden Rice was sharp throughout the match as he made 12 total saves with eight of those coming in the second half.
The Black Knights get back to Patriot League action this Saturday, October 28th as they travel to take on American at 1:00 PM.
