Women’s Tennis Defeats Rollins College, 6-1

WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Army women's tennis team claimed a 6-1 victory over Rollins College on Friday at Copeland Stadium at Winter Park, Fla., in closing out its spring trip to Florida.
How it Happened
Following a sweep in doubles to earn the point, Army took five of the six singles matches, four in straight sets, for its convincing win to improve to 13-6.
Army's No. 2 (Julia Kelly/Jenna Sabile) and No. 3 (Isabella Brilliant/Maria Drobotova) doubles teams easily won their matches, 6-0, 6-2, respectively, while the No. 1 duo of Paige Herremans/Cooper Jackson were challenged in pulling out a 7-5 victory.
Drobotova (No. 2), Kelly (No. 3), Ylan Duong (No. 4), Herremans (No. 5) and Brilliant (No. 6) went on to record wins in singles with Kelly extended to three-sets before taking the measure of Polina Vlasova, 5-7, 6-3, 10-3. After turning back Polina Ligay, 7-5, in the first set at No. 4, Duong easily won the second, 6-1, to put the win in the books.
