Softball Splits Doubleheader with UAlbany

In Game 1, Army struck first by scoring two runs in the first inning when Taylor Brown hit an RBI single.
UAlbany scored three runs in the third and fourth innings to take a 3-2 lead in the fourth inning.
The Black Knights responded with a fun-run fifth inning capped off by an Ashton White grand slam to take the lead, 7-3.
UAlbany tied things up at 7, scoring four in the top of the seventh to send things into extras.
UAlbany put up a four spot in the top half and Army responded for three runs after RBI singles by Angelina Bebek and Kayla Edwards but was not enough to match the Great Danes as Army fell 11-10.
Kayla Edwards continued her hot streak going 3-4 at the plate with 3 RBIs.
In Game 2, the Black Knights used a four-run first inning to grab the lead and never look back, which included an Ellie Caldwell two-run single.
Army tacked on runs in the third on an RBI single by Brook Mitchell and in the sixth on an RBI double by Kayla Edwards.
Freshman Amanda Eaglin (3-5), worked a complete game, allowing just two earned runs.
