No. 15 Women's Lacrosse Prepares for No. 25 Navy in Patriot League Semifinals

WEST POINT, NY - No. 15 Army West Point women's lacrosse (14-2, 7-1 Patriot League) will take on No. 25 Navy (13-5, 5-3 Patriot League) in a Patriot League semifinal on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN+. It will be a neutral site contest with top-seeded Loyola playing host to both semifinals.

The winner will advance to the Patriot League Championship game on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

Last Time Out

Army picked up its 14th victory of the season with a 17-7 win at Lafayette on Thursday night.
The Black Knights closed the conference campaign with a program-best 8-1 overall record.
Allison Reilly logged a career-high five assists in the win while Julia Gorajek and Kathleen Sullivan each scored three times.

Army Quick Hits

Brigid Duffy was named Patriot League Rookie of the Year and to the All-Patriot League first team earlier this week.
Duffy led the conference in goals in the regular season with 50 and ranked in the top-ten in draw controls (74), ground balls (30) and caused turnovers (15).
Kathleen Sullivan, Julia Franzoni and Jolie Riedell each joined Duffy on the all-league first team.
Julia Gorajek and Cathleen Parker also earned All-Patriot League second team honors as Army saw a program-record six cadets named to the all-conference team.
Sullivan leads the Black Knights with 73 points this season which ranks fourth in the conference. Her 40 assists ranks second in the Patriot League.
Franzoni has scored multiple goals in five straight games while ranking second on the Black Knights with 36 goals.
Jolie Riedell posted four draw controls, four ground balls and a goal in Army's win at Lafayette.
Allison Reilly has posted 18 points across Army's final two games of the regular season.
Reilly set single-game program records in the win versus Navy this season, scoring nine goals while assisting three times.
Army's 34.06 shots per game ranks sixth in the country.
The Black Knights have been dominant in the draw circle, ranking 12th in the nation with 16.19 draw controls per game and 20th in draw-control percentage with a .564 rate.
Army has scored 15+ goals in seven of nine Patriot League contests this season.
Head coach Michelle Tumolo earned Patriot League Coach of the Year honors earlier this week.

Scouting the Midshipmen

Navy comes in as the No. 3 seed in the tournament, and picked up a quarterfinal victory over sixth-seeded Boston University, 20-13.
The Mids are led by a trio of first team all-league honorees, featuring Leelee Denton on attack, Ava Yovino in the midfield and Athena Corroon on defense.
Navy's offense ranks third in the conference, scoring 15 goals a game.
The Mids lost three of its final five games of the regular season, and are 6-4 overall away from home this season.

Series History

Army took down Navy by a score of 15-11 earlier this season at Michie Stadium, securing its second-straight star series victory.
The Black Knights are now 2-7 all-time against the Midshipmen.
Navy won last season's neutral site meeting at Loyola by a score of 16-6.
