Late Goal Propels Bucknell Past Men’s Soccer

WEST POINT, N.Y. – A stalemate between Army West Point Men's Soccer and the Bucknell Bison at Malek Stadium was spoiled in the 85' Sunday when the visiting team's Buck Kattrup put a ball into the back of the net for a permanent 1-0 Bucknell lead.

The loss ended Army's quest for a second consecutive shutout, second consecutive Patriot League result and third consecutive overall result.

Playing in their penultimate regular season home fixture at Malek Stadium, Army collected 10 total shots and held Bucknell to three corner kicks, but the Black Knights had just one total shot on goal. Army and Bucknell went into halftime with four shots each, but the Black Knights were outshot by four in the closing half.

Goalkeeper Blair Camargo faced 14 shots and made a pair of saves. Sophomore Gage Lyons led both sides with seven total shots.

Next Up

Army returns to action at Holy Cross next Saturday. They'll return to Malek Stadium for senior night vs. Loyola with a 6:00 p.m. match November 1.
