Sharpshooters Fall to No. 6 Air Force

Colorado Springs, Colo. –Air Force's undefeated rifle team, ranked 6th nationally, defeated No. 9 Army 4721-4650 in an NCAA rifle match Sunday afternoon at the Olympic Training Center.
The Falcons (3-0) swept the top individual positions in smallbore, air rifle and aggregate the day after claiming the President's Trophy match at their Cadet Range.
Army, leveling its season mark at 2-2, was led by senior Briggs Moore (577) and freshmen Brenna Green (576) and Nicholas Bull (576) in smallbore as that trio swept the seventh through ninth places. It was a season high for Bull.
Setting the pace in air rifle were junior Chris Jennings (589) along with freshmen Addison Antwiler (589), Barbara Forgues (586) and Bull (583) followed by Moore (582) claiming the eighth thru 12th spots, respectively.
Jennings' 39 centers nipped Forgues (38) for the eighth spot. Fergues' 586 score bested her season mark 585 set the previous day, while her 571 smallbore score is also a personal best.
Antwiler turned in Army's top aggregate score of 1164 (575 SB, 589 AR) placing eighth.
Army returns to action Saturday opening its conference schedule hosting defending Great America Rifle Conference Champion West Virginia.
