November 08, 2024 | Wrestling
MOUNT PLESANT, S.C. – Army West Point Wrestling started 1-0 in 2024-25 duals with a convicting win over the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs at the Throwdown on the Yorktown Friday night.
Â
However, condensation on the mats on the USS Yorktown brought an early end to the evening that was also scheduled to feature a dual vs. The Citadel.Â
Â
Army was able to make quick work over Gardner-Webb, winning all but two bouts and securing five bonus point wins plus a win by forfeit.Â
Â
The Black Knights' three Princeton Open champions were a combined 3-0 Friday, with Ethan Berginc winning by fall, Gunner Filipowicz by technical fall and Dalton Harkins by major decision.Â
