Cataldo Earns Atlantic Hockey America Goaltender of the Week Honors

BOSTON, Mass. – After an impressive week between the pipes for the Black Knights, Army West Point hockey sophomore goaltender JJ Cataldo earned his second career AHA Goaltender of the Week honors and his fourth AHA weekly recognition for his efforts.
"JJ [Cataldo] has been really solid for us in the first few games of the season," said head coach Zach McKelvie. "He is playing calm and controlled, and our team has gained a lot of confidence because of his play."
Cataldo tallied two wins with only two goals allowed against 73 shots faced for a .973 save percentage and 1.00 goals allowed average.
In Army's Friday game at Northeastern, Cataldo put up 31 saves against 32 shots on goal from the Huskies to help the Black Knights secure a 2-1 win in Boston.
Two days later the Stuart, Fla. native put up 40 saves against 41 shots for the Black Knights towards their 6-1 win over Stonehill in their home opener at Tate Rink.
Army returns to action Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Tate Rink for its first league contest of the season against Canisius at 7 p.m. ET.
