Three Garner Patriot League Weekly Awards after Two Win Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A trio of Army West Point women's soccer players garnered Patriot League Weekly Selections as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Sophomore Karalyn Dail, senior Jordan Follenweider and freshman Sophia Henry all received goalkeeper, defensive and rookie of the week, respectively. The Black Knights collected two wins this past week and earned a berth to the Patriot League playoffs.
Dail played all 180 minutes in between the pipes for Army this past week, collecting two shutouts and two Patriot League victories. The sophomore goalkeeper finished with five saves with 15 shots faces in net. She also earned a .000 GAA and a 1.000 save percentage for the week. For the Colorado native, this is her first Patriot League weekly selection of her career.
Follenweider played 165 minutes across the two matches this past week for the Black Knights. The senior captain was crucial in helping Army to two Patriot League victories and two clean sheets. The Florida native successfully helped defend the net on the backline with multiple successful clearances and no corner kick goals allowed. For Follenweider, this is her second Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week accolade this season.
Henry appeared in both of Army's games this past week, collecting three points. In the Black Knights midweek contest, Henry scored a goal and went perfect with four out of four for shots. On Saturday night, she continued her success with an assist on junior Sabrina Rogers' game-winning goal. For the Virginia native, this is her fifth Patriot League Rookie of the Week accolade, which ties the single-season record held by Army West Point's Kim An (2010).
