Follenweider and Henry Earn Patriot League Weekly Awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A pair of Army West Point women's soccer players earned Patriot League Weekly Selections as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Senior Jordan Follenweider and freshman Sophia Henry earned defensive and rookie of the week honors. The Black Knights earned a 2-0 victory on senior night on Friday night. For the duo, this is the second straight week, that they have earned their respective honors.
Follenweider played all 90 minutes on the backline for the Black Knights. The senior captain was crucial in helping the Black Knights to their third straight clean sheet, all coming in Patriot League victories. The Florida native helped limit the Loyola Md. Greyhounds to two shots with only one on net. For Follenweider, this is her third straight Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week accolade this season.
Henry appeared in the Black Knights lone contest against Loyola Md., this past week. Henry collected her Patriot League rookie leading ninth goal to help secure the victory for Army. The freshman forward went a perfect 2-for-2 on shots on goal and finished with a .500 shot percentage. For the Virginia native, this is her sixth Patriot League Rookie of the Week accolade, which sets a new single-season record in the conference.
