Baseball Suffers Walk-Off Defeat at Wofford
February 21, 2025 | Baseball
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Army West Point Baseball rallied in the top of the ninth to score down to its final out, but would allow a run in the bottom half of the inning to fall 4-3 to the Wofford Terriers Friday night.
Down 3-2 in the final inning, Coleson Titus commenced the frame with a walk, and would advance to third base as the second out was recorded. Paul Andrzejewski then poked an opposite field single to right field, bringing home Titus to tie the game.
However, a two-out RBI single from Wofford's Harrison Campi would prove decisive in the home team's favor.
Wofford takes the first game of this three-game set, with games to follow Saturday and Sunday at Russell C. King Field.
For the second game in a row, starting pitcher Justin Lehman was able to overcome a run allowed in the opening inning and issue a quality start, going six innings with just one earned run given up, and two total runs allowed.
After Army went down a run early, Andrzejewski tied the game in the ensuing inning, driving in Titus with a single to center field.
Wofford made it 2-1 in the third, but Army responded in the fourth with an RBI groundout by Lehman to score Addison Ainsworth.
The Terriers went back ahead in the eighth on a bases-loaded walk before the sides would once again exchange runs in the ninth.

Lehman, Titus and Ainsworth have reached base in all four games to date this year.
