Notes and Storylines
Â
» The Black Knights will see the Falcons for the seventh consecutive year for either a single game or multi-game series. Army has won three of its last four games vs. Air Force. Army won two of three games vs. Air Force in 2023 to open the season in Cleburne, Texas.
Â
A season ago, Army defeated Air Force by run rule in seven innings, 13-2 at the Peak Events Battle at the Ballpark in Sugar Land, Texas. Chris Barr was 2-for-2 with three walks drawn, Coleson Titus was 2-for-3 with an RBI and William Parker was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Matthew Ronnebaum pitched all seven innings for Army and struck out seven.
Â
The 2025 Army-Air Force series will be the first played at either academy since 2015 at West Point, and the first in Colorado Springs since 1993.
Â
» Army has won 17 of its past 21 matchups against academy rivals.Â
Â
» Justin Lehman picked up right where he left off after the 2024 season, turning in six innings February 14 against North Alabama, striking out seven batters on his way to a winning decision. The senior did so after limiting a bases-loaded, no out jam in the first inning to just one run.
Â
Lehman was named Patriot League Pitcher of the Week February 17. Against Wofford February 21, he allowed just one earned run across six innings. Also a position player who features at first base, Lehman recently had a 30-game on-base streak, dating back to last season.
