Pilate and Fink Receive Prestigious AAA Award

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point men's lacrosse All-American AJ Pilate and women's track and field All-American Emily Fink were named recipients of the Army Athletic Association (AAA) Award at the 2025 Awards Convocation and Superintendent's Awards for Excellence and Achievement and Distinguished Cadet Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 22.
The AAA trophy is presented annually to the male and female cadet-athletes who have rendered the "most valuable service to intercollegiate athletics during a career as a cadet." This year marks the 119th anniversary of the AAA Award, which was first awarded to football's Horatio Hackett in 1904.
Pilate, a senior from Massapequa, N.Y., started 57 of 58 games during his four-year career. He earned his third consecutive Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year award (2023, 2024, 2025) and was named to the All-Patriot League team all four years (2022–2025). A unanimous All-American in 2024, Pilate also served as a two-time team captain (2024, 2025). In 2025, he anchored a defense that led the nation in both fewest goals allowed per game (7.50) and scoring margin (6.71).
Fink, a native of Three Lakes, Wis., is one of the most decorated and dominant track and field athletes in program history. Since arriving at West Point in 2022, she has left an indelible mark, holding both the indoor and outdoor program records in the shot put and ranking second all-time in the indoor weight throw and outdoor hammer throw. She also holds several records in the Patriot League record book. Fink has been named an NCAA Outdoor All-American and has competed in the Olympic Trials. Her 2025 season is still ongoing, as she helped lead Army to its first women's outdoor team title since 2016, with NCAA regionals and championships still ahead.
