Katelyn Flanders Named to Patriot League All-Academic Team

WEST POINT, N.Y. — Sophomore pitcher Katelyn Flanders earned another postseason honor on Wednesday, being named to the Patriot League All-Academic Team.
Voting for the Patriot League Softball's Academic All-Patriot League Team is conducted by the League softball's sports information directors.
To be eligible for the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be a key player in their sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
Katelyn Flanders, a sophomore pitcher from Jackson, Georgia, finished the season with a 2.22 ERA, second-best in the league, with 84 strikeouts. She held opponents to a league-low .209 batting average.
Flanders was also one of three Black Knights to be named to the Patriot League All-League First Team.
The sophomore is currently majoring in nuclear engineering and holds a 3.97 GPA. Flanders has been named to the Dean's List for all terms eligible, as well as earned Distinguished Cadet (Top 15% class GPA) and Superintendent's Award for Achievement honors.
Flanders and the Black Knights will begin their postseason journey on Thursday at 12 p.m. as they take on the No. 4 seed Bucknell. The game at the Army Softball Complex will also stream live on ESPN+.
