From the Desk of AD #31

Dear Army West Point Community,

Welcome to another edition of From the Desk of AD #31, a communication platform designed to keep you informed and engaged with Army West Point Athletics and the Army West Point Athletic Association. As your Director of Athletics, I am excited to use today's newsletter to report on recent coaching hires, share key updates on our department, highlight the achievements of our cadet-athletes, engage with topics relating to the fan experience, and provide insight into the ever-evolving landscape of college athletics. These efforts align with the four strategic priorities outlined in our Fruits of Victory athletics strategic plan which includes Competitive Success, Providing an Extraordinary Division I Experience, Public Engagement and Revenue Generation, and Sustainability.

Celebrating America at West Point
Robyn and I hope you had a safe and meaningful Fourth of July! There's truly nothing like celebrating our nation's birthday right here at West Point - home to America's future leaders. From the patriotic energy across Post to the fireworks lighting up the Hudson, it was a special week.

Welcoming LTC Calway to the Team
Please join us in welcoming Lieutenant Colonel Kelly Calway as our new Deputy Athletic Director, Military. A proven leader with deep operational experience, LTC Calway will be instrumental in connecting the Corps of Cadets, the Army, and our athletics mission. Her addition strengthens our commitment to developing leaders of character on and off the fields of friendly strife.

You Spoke, We Listened: New Partnership with Levy
One of the most common pieces of feedback we hear in our fan survey's is enhancements to concessions and hospitality. You asked for better service, more variety, and a more enjoyable experience - and we listened.

We're proud to announce our new partnership with Levy, a national leader in sports and entertainment hospitality. Over time, you'll see improvements across ALL Army West Point venues: quicker service, enhanced menus, upgraded premium spaces, and a touch of local flavor.

This is just one piece of a much bigger plan to transform the fan experience at Michie. Stay tuned — there's more to come.

Introducing the Army West Point Fan Council: Now Accepting Applications!
We're launching the Official Army West Point Fan Council (AWPFC) - and we want you to be a part of it. The council will serve as a direct line of communication between Army Athletics and our passionate fan base, offering input as we look to elevate the fan experience across the board.

Reception Day: The Mission in Action
R-Day is always a profound and humbling reminder of our mission. We officially welcomed the Class of 2029 - including an impressive group of future cadet-athletes - to the Academy. Below is a picture of some of our Coaches greeting cadets and their families as they head into Ike Hall

Michie Stadium Construction Update

Progress continues on the Michie Stadium Preservation Project, with the new 160,000-square-foot East Pavilion shaping up quickly. Suites, club spaces, loge boxes - they're all coming to life. Every steel beam going up brings us closer to a reimagined experience worthy of the Long Gray Line and the best fans in college football. We had a small "topping off" ceremony to honor the workers on the project and say thank you for their continued hard work on the project. Please visit www.MichieStadium.com for more details
