Henry and West Collect Patriot League Weekly Awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point women's soccer collected two Patriot League weekly awards after a 4-0 victory on Friday night against the Lehigh Mountain Hawks. Freshman Sophia Henry and Sophomore Daisy West earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively. The duo both scored goals in the first Patriot League victory of the season.
West played all 90 minutes for the Black Knights, taking three shots with two on net. The sophomore defender scored her first Patriot League play goal and the second of her career in the process. She finished the game with two points. The Fort Montgomery, N.Y., native earned her first Patriot League weekly award. Henry scored her second goal in as many games with the Black Knight's fourth goal of the game. For the Virginia native, this is her third Patriot League Rookie of the Week accolade of the season. The freshman played 43 minutes for Army off the bench, taking one shot in the process for a 1.000 shot percentage in the contest.
