WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Rimington Trophy will be part of the Homecoming festivities at Army West Point this week, as the award celebrating the top collegiate player at the center position will be on display Saturday at Michie Stadium preserved by USAA as the Black Knights play host to conference opponent Florida Atlantic beginning at 12:00 p.m.
The interactive display is open to all ticketed fans as an exciting addition to the popular pregame Black Knight Alley located on Victory Plaza outside the new East side of the stadium.
"The Rimington Trophy is one of the most prestigious honors in college football," said Army head coach Jeff Monken. "The physical and mental toughness it rewards are a perfect match for our program and for what we hope our linemen represent. It recognizes the type of player Brady Small is to us and the leadership, pride, and physical playing style that he brings each day."
The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I College Football. The award is named after Dave Rimington, a consensus first-team All-America center at the University of Nebraska (1981–1982). Rimington is the only two-time winner of the Outland Trophy.
Army's Brady Small, who has led the Black Knights to three wins in the first five weeks of the season, is on the Rimington Award Watchlist for the third consecutive season. Small and his teammates on the offensive line helped the Black Knights to a 20-17 win over Tulane on Saturday. Army rushed for 322 yards behind the extraordinary work of the offensive line against the Green Wave.
The Rimington Trophy will be on display at select college campuses throughout the college football season beginning with Army's game against FAU. The Rimington Trophy Tour features the newly unveiled BIG RIM truck with tour stops focused on teams featuring centers on the 2026 Rimington Trophy Watchlist. At each stop along the tour, fans will have the opportunity to see the trophy up close while celebrating the players who anchor their school's offensive lines. Upcoming stops include the University of Virginia and Ohio State University.
Fans are encouraged to attend the Black Knight Alley fan festival as the Rimington Trophy will be on display. Fans are encouraged to take photos with the trophy while participating in the Perfect Snap Contest, where fans can test their ability to snap a football and be eligible to take home Rimington Trophy T-shirts, hats, foam footballs, and drink koozies.
The Rimington Trophy is sponsored by the Boomer Esiason Foundation and raises funds and awareness for the cystic fibrosis community.
