Football’s Offensive Line Named to Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll
October 14, 2026 | Football
NEW YORK (October 14) – Army West Point football's offensive line has been named to the 2026 Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll.
Founded in 2015 and presented by the Foundation for Teamwork, the Joe Moore Award is earned by the most outstanding offensive line unit in college football, the only major award in the sport given to a group rather than an individual. There are no personal statistics to chase and no individual name on the trophy. There is only the standard Joe Moore demanded: toughness, teamwork, and five men playing as one. It's voted on by the people who would know, every FBS offensive line coach, former linemen in the media, and a legacy committee of the men who played for and coached alongside him.
Left tackle Henry Appleton, left guard Kyle Kloska, center Brady Small, right guard Paolo Gennarelli and right tackle Teddy Williams, all seniors, have served as the starting offensive line combination each game in 2026.
Thanks to the offensive line's blocking efforts, Army's 333.2 yards per game on the ground rank first in both FBS and the American Conference. The line also guided quarterback Cale Hellums vs. Tulane in Week 6, with the signal-caller rushing for a pair of scores and collecting a career-high 223 rushing yards with a pair of touchdowns. His game-tying 58-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter was also his longest career rush.
The Joe Moore Award has been presented to Alabama (2015, 2020), Iowa (2016, 2025), Notre Dame (2017), Oklahoma (2018), LSU (2019), Michigan (2021, 2022), Washington (2023) and Army (2024). In winning the award in '24, Army became the first military academy and the first Group of Five program to take home the honor.
