Army women's soccer takes four weekly awards after 4-0 win at Bucknell
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point women's soccer claimed four Patriot League weekly awards Monday, as junior goalkeeper Karalyn Dail (Centennial, Colo./Arapahoe), junior defender Daisy West (Fort Montgomery, N.Y./James I. O'Neill), junior forward Bella Conti (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) and freshman Lily Marquez (Dallas, Texas/Ursuline Academy of Dallas) were named Goalkeeper, Defender, Forward and Rookie of the Week, respectively, the conference office announced.
The honors follow Army's 4-0 win at Bucknell on Saturday, which clinched a berth in the Patriot League Tournament and a top-four seed for the Black Knights (9-6-1, 6-0-1 Patriot League). Army's eight-game consectutive shutout streak is the longest active consecutive shutout streak in the NCAA.
Karalyn Dail | Goalkeeper of the Week
Dail made three saves in 90 minutes as Army shut out Bucknell, stopping shots from Ingrid Murphy (17:00), Presley Sutter (46:59) and Katie Connell (60:50). The shutout was Army's seventh in as many Patriot League matches and extended the Black Knights' streak without allowing a goal to eight matches, the second longest in program history, one shy of the nine-match streak of 1993. Army has outscored opponents, 19-0, during the stretch, and Dail has not allowed a goal since Sept. 6.
Daisy West | Defender of the Week
West played all 90 minutes at the back as the Black Knights held Bucknell to seven shots, three on goal. She has played all 90 minutes in each of Army's last 14 matches. A preseason All-Patriot League selection and a 2025 All-Patriot League third-team honoree, West has a goal and an assist this season, scoring Army's lone goal at Air Force on Aug. 13 and assisting Sabrina Rogers' goal at Maine.
Bella Conti | Forward of the Week
Conti scored an unassisted goal at 75:20 to put Army up, 3-0, at Bucknell. It was the fifth goal of her season. The team captain led the Black Knights with six shots, three on goal, in 84 minutes. She has earned Forward of the Week honors in back-to-back weeks, and Army has outscored its Patriot League opponents, 18-0, this season.
Lily Marquez | Rookie of the Week
Marquez scored the first goal of her career at 81:43 to cap the win, converting a pass from Rogers. She put a shot on goal in 45 minutes off the bench and has appeared in six matches this season.
Army returns to Patriot League play Saturday, Oct. 31, at Loyola Maryland. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. in Baltimore, Md.
