No. 17/20 Women’s Lacrosse Dominates Marist in 23-7 Victory

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point women's lacrosse secured their second victory of the 2026 season to remain undefeated in a 23-7 win over the Marist Red Foxes (1-1). Army (2-0) in the victory tied a program single game team goal record with 23. Additionally, junior Ellie Nawa earned 16 draws creating new program single game draw record.

- The Red Foxes started strong taking the first two shots of the game, with one saved by senior Lindsey Serafine and scoring on the later at 12:41 left in the first quarter.
- The Black Knights found the equalizer from senior Lily Valentini at 10:11 in the first quarter and scored five to make it 6-1 before Marist found an answer. Freshman Emma Ciocon scored her first of her career from a cut inside the 8m that connected off a pass from X from senior Allison Reilly.
- Valentini ended the first quarter with a hat trick accounting for half of the Black Knights first quarter goals to make it 6-2.
- The Black Knights started the second quarter, where they left off in the first with senior Chloe Garrett scoring her first two goals of the year to make it 9-2. With the Black Knights 10th goal of the evening, Valentini scored her fourth of the day and the 50th of her career to make it 10-2. Army continued to shine and finished the half with a 15-4 lead.
- Coming out of halftime, the Red Foxes scored first but the Black Knights continued to shine putting the ball in the back of the net. Army's final goal of the third quarter to make it 18-7 came from the stick of freshman Rocky Phelps in the middle of the 8m on a cut down for her first career goal.
- Starting the final quarter, Phelps scored her second career goal and Paige Moretti added her first of the year to start a 5-0 fourth quarter to make it 23-7.
- In the final seconds of the game, senior Chloe Garrett found Reilly cutting thru the 8 meter that beat the Marist goalie up high to give her program setting 12th point and 23rd goal.
