EVANSTON, Ill. – Army West Point women's lacrosse was handed their first defeat of the 2025 season by No.2/2 Northwestern (2-1) by a score of 18-7 on Saturday afternoon. For Army (2-1), seniors Brigid Duffy and Lily Valentini led the scoring with two goals each. In net, senior Lindsey Serafine had a season-high 10 saves.

- Northwestern started fast scoring four goals in the first quarter to take a 4-0 led into the second quarter.
- The Black Knights got on the board at 12:15 left in the second quarter. Senior Lily Valentini scored from the 8m on a rocket of a shot that beat the Northwestern goalie up high, down a player.
- Army added the next two goals from seniors Allison Reilly and Brigid Duffy to make it 5-3 with 6:43 left in the second half.
- The Black Knights finished the first half down 7-4. The third quarter proved to be the difference maker in the game as Northwestern outscored the Black Knights 7-2.
- At 3:32 left in the third quarter, sophomore Kate Gallagher scored the Black Knights first goal of the second half. Reilly behind the net found Gallagher cutting through the middle of the 8m and beat the diving Northwestern goalkeeper. Duffy added her second of the day with 55 seconds left in the third quarter to make is 14-6.
- Freshman Rocky Phelps added her third of the year and Army's seventh goal of the game with 3:51 left in the game. Duffy flipped the ball to Reilly at the top of the 8m and Reilly found Phelps flash cutting across the 8m and beat the Northwestern goalkeeper with a bounce shot.
