No. 17/21 Women’s Lacrosse Set for Historic Matchup Against Florida State

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point women's lacrosse will compete in Atlanta, Ga., on Saturday afternoon against first year program Florida State. This will mark the first ever meeting between the two programs and the Black Knights will look for their second win against an ACC opponent in program history.

- Senior Brigid Duffy was named the Patriot League Midfielder of the Week after a finishing with six goals, nine points and 13 shots across two games last week.
- Army ranks first in the Patriot League in points per game averaging 25 a game which ranks seventh best in the country.
- The Black Knights have the eight best scoring offense in the country with 16.33 goals per game.
- The Black Knights earned a midweek victory over the Marist Red Foxes by a score of 23-7. In the victory, Army tied a program single game goal record with 23 goals. The Black Knights earned 17 assists which ranks first in the NCAA in assists in a game this season.
- Junior Ellie Nawa collected 16 draw controls, earning a new program single game draw control record against Marist.
- Senior Allison Reilly recorded 12 points for a tying a program single game points record against Marist and the most in a game in the NCAA this season. Reilly ranks second in the nation in assists with 12 total and most in a singular game with seven against Marist.
- Senior Lily Valentini has started 2026 hot with 13 combined goals and 16 points across three games, with single game high of six goals against Marist. She also netted her 50th career goal against Marist. Valentini ranks sixth in the NCAA in goals with 13.
- Noto Family Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Michelle Tumolo earned her 50th win at Army, making her the first coach in program history to achieve the feat against Rutgers.
- Senior Brigid Duffy will compete as a member of the 2026 US Women's National Field Team.
- The Black Knights earned four Patriot League Preseason selections: seniors Sarah Chernik, Brigid Duffy, Allison Reilly, Lindsey Serafine. For Chernik, Reilly and Serafine, it marks the first time in their careers earning the accolades, while Duffy earns the accolade for the third straight season.
- Army secured three of the four Patriot League preseason major awards: Attacker of the Year Allison Reilly, Midfielder of the Year Brigid Duffy, Goalkeeper of the Year Lindsey Serafine. Duffy earned preseason Midfielder of the Year for the third straight season.
- Brigid Duffy and Allison Reilly earned USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American selections. Duffy earned her first team honors, while Reilly earned third team. Duffy was named a preseason first team All-American for the third straight season. Additionally, she was named the USA Lacrosse preseason Midfielder of the Year.
- Duffy and Reilly were named to Inside Lacrosse's Top 50 NCAA Lacrosse Players for the 2026 season. Duffy was named No. 13, the highest player from a non-power 4 conference. Reilly was named No. 29. The duo were two of the three representatives from the Patriot League on the list.
- The Black Knights earned rankings in the Inside Lacrosse Kane Media Poll and IWLCA D1 Coaches Poll. Army was ranked No. 17 and No. 20, respectively.
- In the Patriot League, Army was selected to finish third in the preseason poll behind Navy and Loyola Md. and received one first place vote.
- Allison Reilly earned her 100th career assist for her Army lacrosse career in the first quarter against Rutgers.
- Brigid Duffy is 7 goals away from becoming the first 200 career goal scorer in program history.
- The two-sport phenom, Duffy finished up her career on the soccer pitch earning Army women's soccer's first NCAA berth since 2011 and lead the nation in game-winning goals, while being named the Patriot League's Offensive Player of the Year.
- Army lacrosse is a family affair. A pair of freshman, Bella Alberici and Emma Ciocon will join other family members on the lacrosse field at Army. Alberici is the daughter of Joe Alberici who is the Jack Emmer Head Men's Lacrosse Coach. Ciocon is the younger sister of junior Lea Ciocon.
- The Army-Navy Star Series Match-Up was moved to National Television on CBS Sports Network on April 11 at 12 p.m.
