Reese Ericson Named Patriot League Player of the Week
February 16, 2026 | Women's Basketball
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After putting together her best offensive week of the season, Reese Ericson has been named the Patriot League Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
Ericson, a senior guard from Lake Oswego, Ore., averaged 20.0 points in Army's 2-0 week over Boston U., and American. She scored in efficient fashion as well, shooting 59.1 percent from the field and 68.4 percent from distance. All 13 of her made field goals came from beyond the arc.
In Army's 69-62 road win over Boston, Ericson was 6-11 from the field – 6-0 from three – for 19 points, including a dagger three late in the fourth quarter. Ericson was also valuable in other aspects of the game, as she dished out three assists and pulled down a pair of boards.
On Saturday against American, Ericson took it up a notch, scoring a season-high 21 points on 7-10 shooting from distance. It marked the second-most threes she's made in a game in her career, and the most this season.
The senior sharpshooter has gone 19-34 from three over the last three games and continues to lead the conference with 78 3-point field goals on the season. That total is also 10th nationally, and her 3.12 threes per game is seventh. She is just 12 threes off the national lead.
This is the second time Ericson has earned the honor this season and the fourth time a Black Knight has won it.
Army is back in action this week for a massive pair of games, as it hosts Loyola Maryland on Wednesday and Navy on Saturday.
