BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Army West Point softball's Sienna Tepley received the first Patriot League weekly honor of her career on Monday, being named this week's Player of the Week.
She becomes the second Black Knight to be named the Patriot League Player of the Week this season, with Ashton White also receiving the honor on Feb. 16.
Tepley led the Black Knights' offense as the lead-off hitter to a 5-0 week, including a doubleheader sweep over Seton Hall and a series sweep over Lehigh.
Through the five games, Tepley finished the week with 11 hits, nine runs, 13 total bases, and three RBIs while also finishing a perfect 3-3 in stolen bases. She posted a .611 batting average with a .650 on-base percentage and .722 slugging percentage.
The sophomore outfielder finished three of the five games this past week with three hits, matching her career-high. To start the week, Tepley batted a perfect 3-3 in Army's first win against Seton Hall while matching a career-high of three runs and having her first three-hit game.
In her second game, where she had three hits, Tepley also saw a single-game career-high of two stolen bases, which was in Army's first win against Lehigh on April 11.
To close the week, Tepley had her final three-hit performance, with two of them being doubles, also setting a new career-best as Army completed the sweep over the Lehigh Mountain Hawks.
Sienna Tepley and the rest of the Black Knights return to the Army Softball Complex on Wednesday, April 15, at 2 p.m. ET, taking on the Iona University Gaels. Later this week, the Black Knights will play their final home Patriot League series, hosting Boston University on April 18-19. Army first plays a doubleheader on Saturday, starting at 12 p.m. ET, then will wrap up the series on Senior Day on Sunday at 12 p.m. ET.
