Women’s Tennis Set for Star Match at Navy
April 03, 2026 | Women's Tennis
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Army West Point women's tennis will take on Navy for the women's tennis star on Saturday in Annapolis.
The match is set to commence at 11:00 a.m. from the Tose Family Tennis Center and is part of the Star Series presented by USAA. A live stream and live results page will be available for fans looking to follow the match in real time.
The Black Knights stand at 20-4 on the season, including 4-0 in matches vs. Patriot League foes. Army is defending both the star and the Patriot League regular season title.
Head coach Paul Peck's squad defeated Navy 4-1 a season ago at West Point. That match snapped a three-match losing streak in women's tennis star matches—albeit with a pair of postseason wins over Navy sandwiched across that stretch.
Current players Vennmukill Mathivanan and Emma Sy logged singles wins in last year's match vs Navy. Ylan Duong and Emily Ruckno did not finish in singles a season ago, but were on pace to win.
Army is 1-0 in academy matches this spring, having defeated Air Force on February 14 at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Fla.
While Saturday's matchup will serve as the first dual between the academy rivals since last year, the programs did compete in individual matchups at the Commander-in-Chief's Challenge on October 10-12, held at the Army-Navy Country Club in Arlington, Va. Should the matches have counted for dual match team scores, Army would have notched a 4-3 win over Navy.

Army concludes the regular season next week vs. Lehigh on Friday and Boston University on Sunday, both at home.
