Men’s Rugby Falls at Navy in Star Match

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Army West Point men's rugby fought to the very end vs. the Navy Midshipmen, but would surrender a try at the gun at Prusmack Rugby Center to fall 26-14.
The Black Knights struck first in the contest with a Howie Heller try, and after surrendering a trio of unanswered tries, would get back into the contest with a score in the 64,' which capped off a flurry of activity at the goal line.
Army had the ball in Navy's half of the field in the final 10 minutes, but was unable to turn the momentum into points, the Mids taking possession and burning clock in the Army half before entering the try zone to conclude the match.
The fixture was part of the Star Series Presented by USAA, which now stands tied at 1-1 following Sprint Football's win over Navy in Annapolis on Friday night.
