Wrestling Announces 2026-27 Schedule

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Wrestling Class of 1972 Head Men's Wrestling Coach Troy Nickerson has announced the 2026-27 schedule.
The 2026-27 campaign features 16 competitions, consisting of six tournaments and at least 10 duals, including one dual tournament. Army will host both the Black Knight Invitational and EIWA Wrestling Championships, along with hosting duals against service academy rivals Air Force and Navy.
The Black Knights begin their season at the Princeton Open on November 1, before competing in their first dual at Big Ten opponent Wisconsin on November 9.
Army will host Air Force for its first home dual of the season on November 15. This matchup marks the first time the service academy rivals have competed since the 1993-94 season, a 27-9 win for the Black Knights.
Army's home slate continues the following weekend with the annual Black Knight Invitational on November 22, before traveling to Las Vegas on December 4-5 for the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite.
The Black Knights begin EIWA action on December 11 when they compete in a dual against Hofstra on the road.
Following final exams and the holiday break, Army will begin 2027 by competing in the National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals on January 8-9 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Starting on January 15, the Black Knights will begin a stretch of three straight conference duals on the road when they take on Bucknell, followed by American on January 17 and Lehigh on January 29.
Army will take a break from conference competition when it returns home on January 30 to take on Cornell. The Black Knights will compete in their last non-conference dual when they face off at home against The Citadel on February 7.
EIWA action continues when the Star Series Presented by USAA returns to West Point on February 19, with a Friday night dual vs. rival Navy. Army defeated Navy for the third consecutive season last year, a 19-18 win that concluded with a 2-0 win by decision for Brady Colbert.
The Black Knights conclude their regular season on February 21, when they take on EIWA foe Morgan State at home.
The postseason begins when Army hosts the EIWA Championships March 5-6 at Christl Arena. Wrestlers will have the opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Championships, set to take place from March 18-20 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Mo.
The Black Knights finished with a 5-5 record in duals during the 2025-26 campaign, placing fourth at the EIWA Championships and sending four qualifiers to the NCAA Championships. Last year's NCAA qualifiers Braden Basile, Brady Colbert, and Gunner Filipowicz, as well as 2023-24 qualifier Lucas Stoddard return to the squad for the 2026-27 campaign.
