ORONO, Maine — Army West Point women's soccer led for more than 64 minutes before Maine scored twice in the final 25 minutes to rally for a 2-1 win Thursday at the New Balance Soccer Complex. Aja Turner scored both goals for Maine (2-3-1, 0-0-0), each assisted by Hannah Wehmeyer, as the Black Knights fell to 2-5-0.

Army got off to the ideal start, needing just 99 seconds to take the lead. Sabrina Rogers finished off a well-worked set piece, assisted by Daisy West and Ailyn Rowe, giving the Black Knights an early 1-0 advantage they carried into the second half.

The Black Knights continued to create chances after the break, with West and Makaela Morrell both testing Maine goalkeeper Elena Barenberg on back-to-back shots in the 55th minute. Rowe and Bella Conti added further pressure in the 59th and 60th minutes, and Grace Pohlidal had a look of her own in the 64th minute as the Black Knights searched for a second goal to extend their lead.

Karalyn Dail was solid in net for Army, finishing with five saves, including a stop in the 74th minute that kept the game level before Maine's second goal one minute later. Kamryn McWhinney and Rogers each had late chances in the final 10 minutes as Army pushed for an equalizer, with Rogers forcing a save from Barenberg in the 87th minute.

The Black Knights bested Maine 6-1 on corner kick opportunities on the day.
