Kelly Cooper Named Patriot League Defender of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army Men's Soccer's Kelly Cooper earns the Patriot League Defender of the Week Honor after his performance during last week's home matches against Yale and Stonehill the Patriot League announced on Monday afternoon.
Senior captain Kelly Cooper takes home his third consecutive Defender of the Week honor this week.
Against Yale on Monday, Cooper registered one shot on goal, as Army out-shot Yale 19-8 overall.
Against Stonehill on Thursday, Cooper scored a goal in the 89th minute of the match to tie the score at 2-2. The goal was Cooper's second of the season and prevented the Black Knights from a loss in the final minutes of the contest.
Across the two games, Cooper played 180 minutes, recorded two shots, both on goal, and scored one goal which was the equalizer in Thursday's game against Stonehill.
