Izzy da Rosa enters her second season at West Point after being named Head Coach of the Rabble Rousers in September 2023.
Da Rosa came to West Point after a seven-year stint as an assistant cheer coach at the University of New Hampshire, seeing great success with the Wildcats. In 2023, UNH claimed a pair of NCA national titles at the NCA Collegiate National Championships in Daytona in April.
UNH competed in the Intermediate All-Girl Division I, claiming the national title over 20 other teams with a final round performance of 97.6782 to jump into first place. In the Advanced All-Girl Division I Championship, UNH executed another flawless performance in the final round and was crowned the 2023 NCA All-Girl GRAND National Champions. The team scored a 97.7778, which marked the highest score in program history.
It marked the second national title for the program with da Rosa on staff, with the first coming in 2017 when UNH secured the All-Girl Division I National Championship. The following season, the Wildcats remained strong, eventually taking third-place overall in the D-1 All-Girl National Championships with a score of 93.87. The team went on to place nine on the NCA All-American list in 2019, marking a new program record.
Prior to her tenure in Durham, da Rosa spent two seasons on the staff at her alma mater, Boston University. A two-time team captain with the Terriers, she also went on to compete after graduation with East Celebrity Elite in Massachusetts.
Da Rosa also saw stops at MSLGROUP as an account associate and at Southern New Hampshire University as an academic advisor. She has a background working as a mentor and leader, having spent time at City Year Boston acting as a tutor and coach for students. Most recently, she helped serve as a behavioral special education teacher in Brighton, Mass.
"I am honored and excited to join the Rabble Rousers as their new head coach! I look forward to sharing my passion for cheerleading with such an incredible group of athletes and leaders. Go ARMY!" - Izzy da Rosa
Da Rosa graduated from Boston University in 2014, earning a bachelor's degree in Communication with concentrations in Advertising and Psychology. She went on to earn her master's degree in Education in Curriculum and Instruction, with a concentration in Elementary Education from Boston College in 2019.
