BOSTON, MASS. - The Army West Point women's swimming and diving team wrapped up day two of the three-day Terrier Invite hosted by Boston University on Saturday.
The Black Knights remain in first place with a team score of 738.5 points. Boston University is in second place with 698.5 points.
COACHES CORNER
"We had a very solid performance again today," stated head coach Mickey Wender. "I liked the way we overcame some adversity today, including a questionable disqualification in the first event. Our team is responding well to challenges, including the 76 points we lost due to disqualification. Our upperclassmen are showing great leadership."
"I like what I'm seeing from our team this weekend. We're tough and I think we easily could have thrown a pity-party after the disqualification, but instead we have been resilient. We're really looking forward to tomorrow."
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
The team of Cecelia Croman, Kara Wineinger, Kelly Hamilton and Bailey Smith took second place in the 200 medley relay, finishing 0.12 seconds behind first-place Boston with a time of 1:44.42.
PRELIMINARY RESULTS
Women's 100 Breaststroke
Women's 100 backstroke
Day three of the Terrier Invite will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.
