Cadets Place Third at All-Academy Championships

Annapolis, Md. – The Army West Point gymnastics team was third at the annual All-Academy Championships on Saturday.
Navy won the event with a 408.500 and Air Force (402.900) and Army (396.400) followed suit.

- Mathew Davis championed the still rings with a career-high 14.000.
- The rookie also set a career-high on floor exercise (14.350) and parallel bars (13.300).
- Cole Casanova posted a 13.600 on high bar and turned out a 14.300 on floor.
- Both were career-best marks.
- Elliott Herman tied his career-high score on floor exercise today with a 14.000.
- Kiernan Reagan's 13.400 on still rings was the best score in his career.
- Rex Scott bested his top score on vault with today's 13.800, while tying his career-high on high bar (13.400).
COMPETITION
- Davis and Casanova were second and third on floor exercise for the Black Knights.
- Herman and Erik Del Cid (13.750) followed suit to also place inside the top-10.
- Shively's season-best mark of 13.400 on pommel horse led Army in the event.
- Shively placed fourth and Martin's 12.95 was ninth.
- Davis won still rings topping the competition with a 14.000.
- Casanova ranked fourth with a 13.600 and was followed by Herman (13.450) and Reagan (13.400).
- Casanova finished as the runner-up on vault with a 14.350 and Del Cid placed third with a 14.300.
- Alejandro Suarez notched seventh on the apparatus at 13.850, while Scott was ninth at 13.800.
- It was Davis (13.300) and Casanova (13.150) leading the Cadets on parallel bars.
- Casanova's career-high on high bar (13.600) ranked him third overall on the day as Scott (13.400) and Davis (13.100) were also in the top-10.
- Casanova was the lone competitor for all-around where he earned an 80.950 rating.
