Men's Soccer Drops Contest to Loyola 2-0

Baltimore, MD – The Army West Point Black Knights men's soccer team dropped its Patriot League contest to the Loyola Greyhounds by a score of 2-0 Saturday afternoon.
How it Happened
Black Knight's goalkeeper Harrison Faulkner was sharp to start the game stopping both Greyhound shots within the first ten minutes. Army had their first scoring opportunity in the 12th minute as Jacob Lee threatened with a free kick that was sent just high over the crossbar
Loyola struck first in the 25th minute with a goal from the 5th-year forward Danilo Seglio. Army was able to put together offensive pressure after the Greyhound score responding with four shots of their own, one being on goal and going into the half with two.
The second half saw a lot of back-and-forth action with the second and last goal of the game coming from Loyola in the 83rd minute off a penalty kick.
Army will be continuing their road trip, traveling to Bethlehem, PA to face Lehigh on Saturday, Oct. 7th at 6:00 PM.
