Sprint Football’s Perine Named CSFL Special Teams Player of the Week

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Sprint Football's Alex Perine has been named CSFL Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 7.
Perine turned in a stellar performance on kickoffs and punts on the way to a 56-0 win for the Black Knights over Cornell November 1.
The native of Alexandria, Va. had three punts for 90 total yards and a 30-yard average. The sophomore also had a long of 35 yards and pinned Cornell inside the 20-yard line once. Additionally, Perine averaged 61 yards across nine kickoffs.
Army clinched a spot in the CSFL Championship Game with its win over Cornell and will play Navy November 16 at 1:00 p.m. at home.
The Black Knights conclude the regular season November 8 at Malloy.
