Army Hockey Cancels 2026 Summer Camps to Support Off-Season Rink Improvement Project
December 09, 2025 | Hockey
WEST POINT, N.Y.– Army West Point hockey announced Tuesday that the team will not host summer camps in 2026 due to an extensive rink improvement project scheduled to begin at the conclusion of the 2025–26 season.
While the decision to pause Army Hockey Camps may come as a disappointing surprise to many, the planned renovations are essential to enhancing the program's facilities and improving the overall experience for future players, fans, and campers. The project represents a significant investment in the long-term success and safety of Army Hockey's cadet-athletes and community participants.
"We understand how much families and athletes look forward to our summer camps each year," Army Hockey Head Coach Zach McKelvie said. "This temporary pause will allow us to complete critical upgrades that will ensure an even better camp environment for years to come. We appreciate everyone's understanding and patience throughout this process."
The Army Hockey staff remains committed to delivering a premier camp experience once renovations conclude and looks forward to welcoming participants back in the future. To sign up for the team's camp mailing list and receive future updates, please click here.

Army Hockey extends its gratitude for the continued support of its camp community and looks forward to welcoming campers back to Tate Rink soon.
