Army West Point Sprint Football Announces 2025 Schedule
June 11, 2025 | Sprint Football
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Collegiate Sprint Football League has released the 2025 Army West Point Sprint Football schedule. The 2025 schedule features four home games and four away games. The Black Knights will be looking for their second straight and 38th Collegiate Sprint Football League Championship.
The CSFL announced for the 2025 season, the elimination of the championship game thus moving the season to an eight-game schedule. The winner of the championship will be determined based upon best regular season record.
"All teams were in favor of playing an eighth game. I believe it will help schools with recruiting. Also, with nine teams in the league, it makes sense for everyone to play everyone else," Head Coach Mark West said. "The league will maintain the two-division format, with Army remaining in the North Division with Cornell University, Mansfield University, Molloy University, and St. Thomas Aquinas College. Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Navy, and the University of Pennsylvania make up the South Division. By maintaining the divisions, it gives schools the chance to compete for a Division Title. Plus, if more teams join the league in the future then we may add the Championship Game back to the schedule. Having the divisions in place would make that transition easier. The season will be here before we know it. The team is excited to get back on the field and play football."
The Black Knights will host the Bellarmine Knights in an exhibition on September 6 at 10 a.m. before kicking off the CSFL season on the road in Philadelphia against the Chestnut Hill Griffins on September 19. With the new eight game format, Army will have a bye the following weekend before a two-game homestand, including its home opener against the Molloy Lions October 3 at 7:00 p.m., followed by an October 10 contest at 7:00 p.m. against the Penn Quakers.
On October 17, the Black Knights will travel up to Ithaca looking to extend their 13-game winning streak against the Cornell Big Red and will follow the next Saturday with a short trip to the Garden State to take on the Caldwell Cougars, whom the Black Knights hold a 5-0 all-time record over.
Army will welcome nearby St. Thomas Aquinas College on Halloween night, looking to remain perfect all-time against the in-state foe. The Black Knights close out the season in November with two matinée games, first at Mansfield on November 8 at 1:00 p.m., before hosting Navy for its annual Star Game as part of the Star Series, presented by USAA, on November 15 at 1:00 p.m. The Black Knights will be looking to extend their regular season winning streak to three games against the Mids.
