Army controlled every phase of the game, piling up 565 yards of total offense while limiting the Spartans to just 70 total yards and five first downs. The Black Knights wasted no time taking command. On Army's opening drive, Gabriel Bolivar capped an 11-play, 60-yard march with a three-yard touchdown run to open the scoring. Bolivar finished with a team-high 82 rushing yards on 15 carries. Army's offense continued to click throughout the first half behind quarterback Kyle West. The junior threw touchdown passes to Carson McFadden from 17 and 22 yards out, added a three-yard rushing touchdown, and later connected with Marek Arbogast for a two-yard score as the Black Knights built a commanding 35-0 halftime lead.
West finished 16-of-21 passing for 151 yards and three touchdowns, while McFadden hauled in five receptions for 63 yards and two scores. Arbogast added three catches for 37 yards and a touchdown.
Army's defense made sure there would be no comeback attempt. Led by a relentless pass rush, the Black Knights registered 10 tackles for loss and eight sacks. Anthony Paradiso paced the defensive front with 2.5 sacks, while Jack Doughton added 1.5 sacks. Ace Robinson, Jaret Bosarge, and Cameron Allen each recorded a sack, while Jake Oxendine and Thomas Golio shared another.
The Black Knights continued to pour it on after the break. Devion Johnson scored on a two-yard touchdown run before quarterback Max Sinkovic connected with Cohen Tomasits for a 52-yard touchdown strike. Sinkovic was efficient in relief, completing 6-of-8 passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns. Tomasits finished with two catches for 57 yards and a score.
Sinkovic later found Gavin Vradenburg for a touchdown, and Nathan Thomas broke free for a 52-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter. Thomas finished with 59 rushing yards on seven carries, while Vradenburg recorded two receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown.
Army capped the scoring in fitting fashion. With 23 seconds remaining, Nicholas Crowe intercepted a pass and returned it 35 yards for a touchdown. Otto Leone also recorded an interception as the Black Knights completed the shutout.
Army quarterbacks combined to complete 23-of-32 passes for 287 yards and five touchdowns without an interception, while the offense converted 9-of-14 third-down opportunities and scored touchdowns on all six trips inside the red zone.
