Neely McGinty serves as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Army West Point, a role he assumed in June 2025.
McGinty brings Division I experience to West Point, having most recently served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2023 to 2025. While at UNC, he worked primarily with the varsity football and cheer teams and completed his master’s thesis titled Athletic Trainers’ Experiences With and Perceptions of Implementing Concussion Risk Reduction Strategies.
McGinty began his career at Towson University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and completed clinical rotations with multiple varsity sports and a local high school.
He is a certified athletic trainer through the Board of Certification and a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. He is also CPR/AED certified for professional rescuers through the American Red Cross.
