He originally joined Army West Point Athletics as Senior Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement in August 2022.
Before arriving at West Point, Sahawneh spent one year as Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Fan Engagement at Saint Peter’s University. There, he oversaw the department's primary social media accounts, led game presentation for men's and women's basketball, supported digital marketing initiatives, and coordinated special events. He was also a member of the social media team that covered the Peacocks' historic run to the NCAA Men's Basketball Elite Eight, coordinating multiple March Madness watch parties for the student body. He also assisted with corporate sponsorship sales and fulfillment.
Prior to Saint Peter's, Sahawneh served as Assistant Director of External Affairs and Marketing & Ticketing Assistant at Marist College. He oversaw game presentation for football and basketball, managed the in-venue Pro Shop, supported the department's marketing efforts, and coordinated special events that generated revenue and fundraising opportunities. During the 2020-21 basketball season, he worked with Firehouse Productions to provide artificial crowd noise during the COVID-19 pandemic while also serving as a COVID-19 surveillance testing assistant.
A 2019 graduate of Marist College, Sahawneh earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. As an undergraduate, he was a four-year practice player for the women's basketball team and worked as a camp counselor, facilities assistant, and fitness center attendant.
A native of Poughkeepsie, New York, Sahawneh resides in Beacon, New York.
