Andrew Sahawneh joined the Army A Club as Director of Sport Specific Giving in June 2024. Sahawneh originally joined the Army West Point Athletics Department as the Senior Director of Marketing & Fan Engagement in August 2022.
Sahawneh comes to West Point after a year-long stint at Saint Peter’s University, where he served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Fan Engagement. In that role, he oversaw the social media efforts for the main athletics accounts, led game presentation for Men’s and Women’s basketball, assisted in digital marketing efforts, and organized special events. Sahawneh was also a contributing member of the social media team that covered the historic Men’s Basketball run to the Elite Eight, during which he coordinator multiple March Madness watch parties for the student body. While in Jersey City, the main Twitter account Sahawneh oversaw net a total of 12+ million impressions, a 3,000% + increase in account engagement, and a 150% increase in total followers. Sahawneh also assisted in sponsorship sales and fulfillment.
Prior to Saint Peter’s, Sahawneh was the Assistant Director of External Affairs as well as the Marketing & Ticketing Assistant at Marist College in Poughkeepsie. There, he oversaw game presentation for football and basketball, managed the in-venue Pro Shop, and assisted with all marketing efforts. He also coordinated special events for the department to generate revenue and fundraise. During the pandemic, Sahawneh worked with Firehouse Productions to provide artificial fan noise for the 2020-21 Basketball season. In addition to his athletic duties, Sahawneh was a COVID-19 surveillance testing assistant.
Sahawneh graduated from Marist College in 2019 with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. He was a four-year practice player for the women’s basketball team, and worked as a camp counselor, facilities assistant, and fitness center attendant during his undergraduate career.
Sahawneh is a native of Poughkeepsie, New York. He currently resides in Beacon, New York.
