Emily Sabo joined the Army West Point Athletic Association as an Athletic Trainer in July 2026 and currently works with the Women’s Basketball program.
Prior to arriving at West Point, Sabo spent four years at Newberry College as an Associate Athletic Trainer. During her time there, she worked with a variety of sports including, field hockey, softball, football, acrobatics & tumbling, cheerleading, and volleyball.
Sabo earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Ithaca College in May 2020. She went on to complete a master’s degree in exercise science in May 2022 at SUNY Cortland, where she was a graduate assistant athletic trainer. During her time at SUNY Cortland, she served the field hockey and gymnastics teams.
She holds BOC Athletic Training Certification, CPR/AED certification through American Heart Association, as well as CPR instructor certification. Sabo was the recipient of Gatorade’s Fueling Greatness Grant in 2026. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and a New York state-licensed athletic trainer.
A native of Rochester, New York, she currently resides in Highland Falls, New York.
